Stainless scrap prices drift on low orders

NEW YORK — Stainless scrap broker, processor and dealer buying prices have fallen, with weak June orders from consumers offsetting any gains in nickel prices on the London Metal Exchange.

Broker and processor buying prices for 304 solids fell to a range of $1,365 to $1,425 per gross ton from $1,400 to $1,450 previously, 316 solids to $2,040 to $2,100 per ton from $2,050 to $2,105, and 304 turnings to $1,185 to $1,250 per ton from $1,225 to $1,275 per ton.....
