Philadelphia recycler settles shredder noise complaints

PITTSBURGH A Philadelphia shredder will reimburse the city, pay a civil penalty and take steps to reduce noise to settle alleged violations.
Bellmawr, N.J.-based SPC Corp., which does business as Camden Iron & Metal Inc., has signed an administrative order and consent decree with the citys Department of Health Air Management Services (AMS), agreeing to reimburse the agency $12,470 for investigatory services and to pay a $6,530 civil penalty for alleged violations.....
