Steel imports remain flat to down: AIIS

NEW YORK The majority of flat and long steel traders expect U.S. imports to hold steady or decline over the next two months, according to an American Institute for International Steel (AIIS) survey.
Most respondents said that imports of hot-rolled sheet, cold-rolled sheet, corrosion-resistant product, cut-to-length plate, wire rod, structurals and pipe tube products would remain the same in the next two months, while imports of merchant bar and reinforcing bar would fall. None predicted an increase in imports.....
