Stainless steel surcharges cut again

NEW YORK — ATI Allegheny Ludlum Corp., AK Steel Corp. and North American Stainless Inc. (NAS) have lowered their stainless steel surcharges for the fourth consecutive month.

Ludlum, a division of Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Technologies Inc., set its July surcharges at 66.41 cents per pound for Type 304 material, down 3.1 percent from 68.51 cents this month; 44.58 cents per pound for Type 201, down 2.6 percent from 45.79 cents; 94.47 cents per pound for Type 316,....
