Aluminum extrusion demand up

CHICAGO Consumption of aluminum extrusions in the United States and Canada rose last year compared with 2011 as the transportation and building and construction sectors recorded shipment gains.
U.S. and Canadian consumption totaled an estimated 4.05 billion pounds in 2012, up 5.7 percent from 3.83 billion pounds the previous year, according to data from the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) and the Aluminum Association.....
