US drilling slows, Canada rises

NEW YORK — The number of drill rigs running in the United States fell by 11 last week, with small increases in some states more than offset by declines in Texas (down 11) and Oklahoma (down five), while Canadian drilling activity rose by nine rigs compared with the previous week.
