CarTech hires SDI's Heasley

NEW YORK — Carpenter Technology Corp. has named Gary Heasley senior vice president for its Performance Engineered Products (PEP) division.

In this newly created role, Heasley will supervise Cartech subsidiaries Amega West Services LLC, Dynamet Inc. and Carpenter Powder Products Inc., as well as oversee Latrobe Specialty Steel Distribution Inc. and Specialty Steel Supply Inc.

Heasley joins Cartech after eight years with Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI), where he most recently served as executive vice president of strategic planning and business development, as well as president of SDI subsidiary New Millennium Buildings Systems. His appointment with the Wyomissing, Pa.-based company will take effect July 22.
