Acme Recycling accuses Texas city of playing favorites

PITTSBURGH A Texas metal recycler and an auto salvage company are suing the city of San Antonio, alleging that they are being held to a higher standard than their competitor.
Acme Recycling Inc., Texas Auto Salvage Inc. and owners Gary and Daniel Hack have accused San Antonio of selectively enforcing city codes and environmental laws.
Acme Recycling and Texas Auto claim that they have incurred substantial costs to obtain permits and operate while competitor San Antonio Auto & Truck Salvage Inc. and its owner, Daniel Ramirez, have not been required to obtain the same permits.....
