Luvata receives ‘Lean’ certification for Pori plant

NEW YORK Global copper fabricator Luvata UK Ltd. has received Lean certification in its Pori, Finland, plant that makes tin-coated wire for solar panels.
Its taken Luvata seven years to earn its first Lean certificationan assessment on the efficiency and success of a companys production, sales and procurementLuvata vice president of operational excellence Chris Russell told AMM.
Since the company formed in 2006, its been a tremendous growth period for us in our operational excellence in terms of our production system efficiency and effectiveness and in terms of what our customers need, he said. ....
