Domestic Casting facing $96,000 OSHA penalties

NEW YORK — Domestic Casting Co. LLC is facing more than $96,000 in penalties from the Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which has cited the company’s Shippensburg, Pa., foundry for numerous alleged workplace safety and health violations.

OSHA handed Domestic Casting four repeat citations, with a proposed penalty of $26,180, for allegedly failing to properly guard live electrical parts and install standard platform railings. OSHA said it cited the foundry for similar alleged violations in 2011 and 2012.....
