NEW YORK — Electronic Recyclers International Inc. (ERI) will open an 81,000-square-foot facility in Aurora, Colo., in September and expects to announce soon expansions to its Fresno, Calif., and Badin, N.C., facilities, a spokesman told AMM.

The new Aurora location will more than double ERI’s space at its current Denver facility, which the new facility will replace, the company announced earlier this month.

The company recently also announced the completion of a 25,000-square-foot expansion at its Holliston, Mass., facility, with an option to expand another 25,000 square feet (amm.com, July 18).

With the new facility in Aurora and upcoming plans in Fresno and Badin, ERI will have expanded by 200,000 square feet this year, the spokesman told AMM. ERI claims to be the world’s largest privately held recycler of electronic waste, processing more than 250 million pounds annually.
