S. Korea asks US for fairness in OCTG probe

NEW YORK — South Korea has submitted a letter asking U.S. Commerce Department undersecretary for international trade Francisco J. Sanchez for a "fair and objective investigation" should the department initiate an investigation into oil country tubular goods (OCTG) imports at the request of U.S. producers.

It is the first anti-dumping petition to be filed against Korea since the signing of a free-trade agreement between the two countries and "the Korean government and business community are paying close attention to the proceedings of this case," deputy trade minister Choi Kyonglim wrote in the....
