NEW YORK North American stainless steel consumption has increased so far in 2013, outperforming the European market, according to North American Stainless Inc. parent company Acerinox SA.
"The traditional inventory replacement process has not taken place this year and inventory levels remain low across all markets, particularly in Europe and the U.S.," Madrid-based Acerinox said. "The downward trend in nickel has caused demand....
