US launches steel rod dumping probe

NEW YORK The U.S. Commerce Departments International Trade Administration (ITA) is initiating a dumping investigation of steel threaded rod from India and Thailand and a subsidy probe into imports of the same product from India.
But Matthew McGrath, a lawyer representing importers and U.S. distributors of steel threaded rod, told AMM July 24 that domestic producers dont have enough evidence that Indian and Thai companies are dumping steel in the United States for a case to go forward. ....
