Copper, brass service center business slow

NEW YORK Copper and brass service centers said business continues to slow in the United States despite low copper prices and improving end markets such as construction.
Lead times from mills to service centers range from six to eight weeks for light- and medium-gauge copper coil, around six weeks for copper sheet and plate and two to four weeks for copper pipe and tube, sources said. Suppliers of alloy and brass rod are mostly overseas so lead times are up to 12 weeks.....
