Accuride optimistic despite deeper loss

CHICAGO Accuride Corp. expressed some optimism despite falling further into the red in the second quarter, reflecting the impact of macroeconomic and industry conditions on its businesses.
Compared with the first quarter, "revenues were stronger as the North American commercial vehicle industry began to return to healthier volumes," president and chief executive officer Rick Dauch said. "Results in our core businesses reflected higher production (by truck builders) and a strong spring selling season in the aftermarket.....
