Judge approves claims against RG Steel

NEW YORK A bankruptcy court judge has approved settlement claims of some $20 million brought by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency against debtors of defunct steelmaker RG Steel LLC.
The approval relates to allegations by the federal agency that RG Steel violated regulations and permits related to the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Clean Air Act at a number of its facilities, according to documents filed Aug. 2 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware.....
