Detroit Diesel to expand Redford, Mich., plant

CHICAGO Detroit Diesel Corp. has unveiled a $77.2-million capital project to expand manufacturing and assembly capacity at its Redford, Mich., facility.
The Detroit-based manufacturer of engines for heavy-duty trucks, a subsidiary of Daimler Group Inc., Columbus, Ohio, makes engines and axles at its Redford plant, Brad Williamson, manager of engine and component marketing at Portland, Ore.-based Daimler Trucks North America LLC, told AMM.....
