Deacero joins ISA rebar-buying co-op

NEW YORK Mexicos Deacero SA de CV has signed up as a supplier member of the Independent Steel Alliance (ISA) as the rebar-buying co-op continues to add members and leverage purchases from suppliers.
"We would like to be more active in the (U.S.) fabrication market as a supplier," Deacero rebar product manager Miguel Bazan told AMM. "We have expanded our rebar fabrication customer base" by joining the ISA.
Deacero sells about 20,000 tonnes of rebar per month in the U.S. market, Bazan said, and will supply long bars in sizes No. 3 to No. 8 and rebar coils to ISA members. The Monterrey-based company officially joined the ISA July 1. ....
