Globe posts positive quarter but still in red in fiscal year

CHICAGO Globe Specialty Metals Inc. swung back into the black in its fiscal fourth quarter as company operations resumed normal activity following maintenance outages.
The New York-based silicon producer posted a net loss of more than $21 million for the 12 months ended June 30 in contrast to net income of nearly $54.6 million the previous fiscal year despite a 7.4-percent increase in sales to $757.6 million on shipments that rose 14.2 percent to 266,135 tonnes.....
