Upstate’s Pa. auto shredder OK’d

PITTSBURGH — Upstate Shredding LLC-Ben Weitsman & Son Inc. has received local government approval to install an auto shredder at its New Castle, Pa., facility.

With site work now completed, the company plans to fire up the 100-ton-per-hour machine in the second quarter of 2014. The company originally targeted a first-quarter start (amm.com, June 3).
