Southern Metals plans to open SC venture

CHICAGO Southern Metals Recycling Inc. and Waccamaw Metal Recycling plan to open a joint-venture facility in Conway, S.C., facility by year-end.
The companies purchased Turners Used Auto Parts Inc. at the end of December for an undisclosed sum, and waited to announce the project until all of the permits were in order, Jonathan Alper, president of Wilmington, N.C.-based Southern Metals told....
