Navistar swings to loss on lower North America truck sales

CHICAGO Navistar International Corp. was awash in red ink in its fiscal third quarter. The Lisle, Ill.-based company posted a net loss of $247 million for the three months ended July 31, in contrast to net income of $84 million in the same period last year.
Revenue fell 11.9 percent to $2.86 billion, reflecting lower net sales across all classes of its core North America truck business due to the impact of its transition to selective catalytic reduction (SCR) emissions control technology for both heavy- and medium-duty vehicles as well as a 9-percent....
