Nucor completes Conn. facility upgrades

NEW YORK Nucor Corp. has finished an upgrade at its bar mill in Wallingford, Conn., where it has replaced its reheat furnace, the company told AMM.
"Work on the new reheat furnace has been completed and the furnace was started up at the beginning of August," said Dan Needham, general manager of Nucor Steel Connecticut Inc. "Service to our customers was never interrupted as we completed this....
