NEW YORK — Vale SA has employed foreign workers to help complete the company’s Long Harbour nickel processing plant in Newfoundland and Labrador, citing a lack of skilled trade workers available in the Canadian province.
The Rio de Janeiro-based miner has contracted 26 specialized welders from Ireland, as well as three crane operators, to help finish the Long Harbour project. ....
