Auto supplier optimism is highest since Jan. '12

CHICAGO — Makers of automotive parts, components and systems are the most optimistic they’ve been since January 2012, and they plan to spend money to keep up with demand over the next two years, according to the latest survey of Original Equipment Supplier Association (OESA) members.

The OESA index rose to 66 in September from 60 in July, driven by a 20-point jump in the percentage of respondents who said they were optimistic about business prospects.....
