Alcoa weighs sale of three rolling mills

CHICAGO Alcoa Inc. might sell three rolling millstwo in Spain and one in Franceas it explores options for the plants as part of a strategic review, a company spokeswoman told AMM Sept. 25.
The review comes as the Pittsburgh-based aluminum producer looks to boost the growth potential and shareholder value of the facilities in Alicante and Amorebieta, Spain; and Castelsarrasin, France.
"The outcome of the process may lead to the sale of the combined business, but (we) may also conclude that Alcoa should continue to operate the plants as we do today," the spokeswoman said via e-mail.....
