Evraz Stratcor names Davis as new chief

NEW YORK — Evraz Stratcor Inc. has appointed Brandon Davis as chief executive officer effective Oct. 1. Davis replaces retiring general manager Tim Scott.

Davis had been director of operational excellence for the flat products group of Chicago-based Evraz Inc. North America.

Scott has been general manager of the Hot Springs, Ark.-based producer of specialty vanadium alloys and chemicals since 2004. He will serve as a consultant for Evraz Stratcor after retiring.

Evraz Stratcor and Evraz North America are subsidiaries of Russian steelmaker Evraz Plc.
