Aluminum scrap prices mostly steady

NEW YORK — Smelter-grade aluminum scrap prices remained mostly steady during the past week, as limited volatility on the London Metal Exchange coupled with tepid trading activity has led to a "wait and see" attitude among buyers and sellers, traders said.

Prices for aluminum used beverage cans (UBCs) inched up to 68 to 70 cents per pound Sept. 26 from 67 to 69 cents and aluminum-copper radiators rose to $1.61 to $1.66 per pound from $1.60 to $1.65 per pound.....
