Exide again cited for lead emissions

NEW YORK Troubled battery maker Exide Technologies Ltd. has again been cited by Californias South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) for alleged air quality violations at its Vernon, Calif., battery recycling facility.
On Sept. 18, an air monitor on the north end of the facility exceeded a 30-day average ambient air lead concentration of 0.15 micrograms per cubic meter, according to the AQMD.....
