Codelco targeting higher cathode premiums

LONDON Chilean miner Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (Codelco) is still in discussions with its customers over premiums for 2014 copper cathode supplies, but an increase from previous levels is the Chilean producers key target, according to chief executive officer Thomas Keller Lippold.
"We dont discuss our negotiations publicly. But clearly theres an increase. If you look at whats been happening over the past couple of months, theres been quite a significant increase over the levels discussed last year," Keller told AMM. "Thats not only in Europewhat were witnessing in terms of actual premium levels being recorded in the spot market, including in Asia."....
