Voestalpine aims to up presence in US market

SÃO PAULO Voestalpine AG, Austrias largest steelmaker, is looking to expand its presence in the U.S. flat products market, according to its top executive.
"The U.S. is 8 percent of our total steel sales and its an important market," Wolfgang Eder, chairman and chief executive officer of the Linz, Austria-based steel company, told AMM on the sidelines of the World Steel Associations fall meeting in São Paulo. "There are some plans to expand our flat product deliveries from Europe to the U.S. We know our current site is very small right now ... so there might be....
