Voestalpine aims to up presence in US market

SÃO PAULO — Voestalpine AG, Austria’s largest steelmaker, is looking to expand its presence in the U.S. flat products market, according to its top executive.

"The U.S. is 8 percent of our total steel sales and it’s an important market," Wolfgang Eder, chairman and chief executive officer of the Linz, Austria-based steel company, told AMM on the sidelines of the World Steel Association’s fall meeting in São Paulo.
