CHICAGO — The aerospace market is in the midst of an inventory overhang that could spill over into 2015 for aerospace structural plate, Alcoa Inc.’s top executive said.

The supply glut is most pronounced in aerospace structural plate, Alcoa chairman and chief executive officer Klaus Kleinfeld said. "We believe that the destocking will go on for quite a while ... certainly reaching into next year and probably reaching even into the year after that," he said in an Oct. 8 conference call following the release of Alcoa’s third-quarter earnings.The....
