Global nickel output, consumption growth forecast

NEW YORK Global nickel production and consumption are expected to increase next year but nickel stocks are likely to rise due to "disappointing usage figures outside of China and India," according to the International Nickel Study Group (INSG).
The group said that the Chinese economic slowdown has not affected that countrys domestic nickel market as much as had been anticipated, and said global production and usage would remain strong through 2014, albeit "with growth lower than in recent years."....
