Ferrosilicon prices see further gains

NEW YORK Ferrosilicon spot prices have again edged closer to $1 per pound, with more sellers reporting success in securing high-volume business at increased prices.
Ferrosilicon moved up to a range of 96 to 98 cents per pound from 95 to 97 cents previously.
Most sources had previously told AMM that they have only been able to obtain sales higher than 97 cents per pound for quantities smaller than a truckload (amm.com, Oct. 4). However, several sources contacted by AMM have now reported regular business above these levels. ....
