Brazil’s ferrous scrap, slab exports rise as billet falls

SÃO PAULO Brazils ferrous scrap exports surged 43.3 percent year on year in September, mainly due to increased buying activity from Asia.
Exports totaled 46,173 tonnes last month compared with 32,214 tonnes a year ago, according to figures from Brazilian foreign trade ministry MDIC. Shipments were also up from 36,158 tonnes in August.....
