Baltimore port strike to cause delays

NEW YORK — Ferroalloy importers and traders are bracing for delays at the port of Baltimore, where industrial action has brought cargo movements to a halt.

All cargo operations at the port reportedly ceased Oct. 16 due to a strike by members of International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) Local 333, which is in a contract dispute with the Steamship Trade Association of Baltimore, according to local media....
