Ormet seeks to sell ‘excess assets’

CHICAGO Bankrupt aluminum producer Ormet Corp. is seeking court approval to sell "excess assets" to repay creditors, according to documents filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware.
The assets include raw materials such as alumina, anodes, caustic soda and bauxite as well as finished goods, the Hannibal, Ohio-based company said in the documents, dated Oct. 16. In addition, Ormet said it is looking to sell excess....
