US bulk scrap export prices to Turkey increase

NEW YORK U.S. export prices for bulk scrap shipments to Turkey jumped about $15 per tonne from the prior sale at the start of October after one exporter broke an impasse late Oct. 22.
Unexpected silence from U.S. bulk scrap exporters at the start of this week left many wondering where export prices to Turkey were headed as buyers remained eager to book cargoes.
Market participants said there had been no firm bids and offers on bulk cargoes after Turkish mills resumed operations Oct. 21 following a weeklong religious holiday in the region.....
