CarTech to build superalloy plant near alloy site

NEW YORK Carpenter Technology Corp. is building its $20-million superalloy powder facility "directly across the street" from its nearly completed, $518-million premium alloy facility in Limestone County, Ala., the company said Oct. 22.
Wyomissing, Pa.-based CarTech said earlier this month that it was investing $20 million in a new superalloy powder facility after reaching a licensing and supply agreement with Hartford, Conn.-based United Technologies Corp.
