CMC earnings slump 86.6% in quarter

NEW YORK Commercial Metals Co.s (CMCs) earnings slumped in its fiscal fourth quarter due to weaker performances by its Americas Recycling and International Marketing and Distribution segments, the company said Oct. 23.
Net income for the three months ended Aug. 31 fell 86.6 percent to $4.06 million from $30.22 million in the same period last year on sales that slid 7.3 percent to just under $1.7 billion.....
