FTC orders Solera Holdings to shed assets

NEW YORK — The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has approved a final order that requires scrapyard management systems provider Solera Holdings Inc. to divest its stake in former competitor Actual Systems of America Inc. for anti-competitive reasons.

Westlake, Texas-based Solera purchased Aurora, Colo.-based Actual Systems, as well as joint businesses Actual Systems U.K. Ltd. and Beech Systems Ltd., for $8.7 million in May 2012. The FTC ruled in July that the deal, which resulted in the merger....
