Zorba export prices steady, but fall forecasted

NEW YORK — U.S. export prices for zorba, a nonferrous auto shred, are steady heading into November, but some sellers said prices could edge lower over the next few months as rising silicon prices in China are prompting buyers to reevaluate raw material costs.

Most exporters said prices are steady at 76 to 78 cents per pound for material with a 94- to 95-percent metallic content and 73 to 74 cents per pound for material with a 90- to 92-percent metallic content, both unchanged from mid-October.....
