Glencore Xstrata’s copper production up

LONDON Glencore Xstrata Plcs copper output from its mines rose 23 percent year on year for January through September on increased production in Africa and Chile.
Company-sourced copper production totaled 1.07 million tonnes through September, including a 37-percent year-on-year increase at its African operations to 276,700 tonnes and a 43-percent gain at Collahuasi, in Chile, to 130,800 tonnes, the Baar, Switzerland-based company said Oct. 31.....
