Bermco Aluminum temporarily ceases output

NEW YORK Secondary aluminum alloy producer Bermco Aluminum has been forced to temporarily cease production due to serious issues with both of its furnaces, a source at the company told AMM Nov. 4.
"We typically run with one furnace in operation and one in standby," the source said. "We had decided we were going to do some work on the primary furnace, so we did a complete reline on the standby....
