Century Aluminum net loss narrows in 3d qtr.

CHICAGO Century Aluminum Co.s losses continued in the third quarter, with the aluminum producer blaming the red ink largely on uncertainty about the global economy.
The Chicago-based aluminum producer posted a net loss of $9.5 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, although that figure narrowed by 20.9 percent from the $12-million net loss in the same 2012 period, as sales jumped 31.3 percent to $399.9 million, according to earnings data released Nov. 4.
Meanwhile, Centurys nine-month loss widened by 6.7 percent to $30.6 million from a $28.7-million net loss a year earlier despite sales rising 10.3 percent to $1.05 billion.....
