Europe must boost recycling capacity by 2020: exec

DUBAI Europe needs to add 600,000 tonnes per year of aluminum recycling capacity by 2020, Norsk Hydro ASA head of recycling Roland Scharf-Bergmann said.
Speaking at AMM sister publication Metal Bulletins 21st Recycled Aluminium Conference in Dubai, he said that as the level of primary aluminum production in Europe falls due to the closure of unprofitable smelters, secondary aluminum is becoming a more important supplier....
