Pratt & Whitney, IHI ink parts deal for Japan’s F-35 fighter

LOS ANGELES Pratt & Whitney Corp. (P&W) has chosen IHI Corp. to produce engine components for the Japanese fleet of the F-35 Lightning II joint strike fighter.
Tokyo-based IHI has signed a contract with P&W to qualify components for the F135 engines being built by the East Hartford, Conn.-based division of United Technologies Corp.....
