Bekaert closing steel wire facility in Canada

NEW YORK NV Bekaert SA is closing its Surrey, British Columbia, facility due to an exodus of customers to other parts of North America, the company announced Nov. 6.
The plant, which produces steel wire for various industrial applications, has seen customers leave the area at the same time imports to the region from Asian countries have increased, eroding its market base.....
