Crest Industries to construct Louisiana galvanizing plant

CHICAGO — Crest Industries LLC will build a $15-million, 75,000-square-foot galvanizing operation east of Baton Rouge, La., to apply protective coating to utility poles and equipment used by petrochemical and electrical utility customers.

Pineville, La.-based Crest subsidiary Dis-Tran Steel LLC, also of Pineville, builds utility industry transmission and substation steel structures. Finished fabrications include tapered tubular poles, wide-flange, square tube and lattice structures that meet industry standards as well as....
